Dr. Karissa Bayer earned her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) degree in May 2017 from the Long Island Au.D. Consortium of Adelphi, Hofstra, and St. John's Universities. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, as well as a minor in Children's Studies, from Brooklyn College in 2013.
Dr. Bayer has gained experience in a range of clinical settings, including rotations at Adelphi, Hofstra and St. John's Universities, Staten Island University Hospital, Manhattan Audiology, Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, and Manhattan Medical. Dr. Bayer completed her 4th Year Externship at ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP, prior to coming on as a full time clinical Audiologist.
Dr. Bayer has experience in comprehensive diagnostic testing for the pediatric, adult and geriatric populations. She specializes in the dispensing of advanced technology hearing aids as well as in electrophysiological and vestibular testing, including ABR's and ENG/VNG's. Dr. Bayer is a New York State licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Hearing, and Language Association
